KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Thirty-four companies certified in Malaysia have been named to the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For™ Southeast Asia 2026 list, released today by Fortune and Great Place To Work®.

Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For™ Southeast Asia recognises 100 companies for creating outstanding workplaces across the region.
Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For™ Southeast Asia recognises 100 companies for creating outstanding workplaces across the region.

Now in its second year, the Southeast Asia list builds on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, which has drawn on Great Place To Work’s workplace research in the U.S. since 1998. The 2026 Southeast Asia ranking is informed by confidential survey responses from 1,322,537 employees across ten countries.

Sunway Group leads Malaysia’s homegrown representation, entering the ranking for the first time at #26. Sunway began in 1974 as a tin mining operation and has since grown into a conglomerate spanning property, construction, education, healthcare and hospitality, with more than 16,000 employees.

Manufacturing anchors the rest of Malaysia’s contingent. Micron Technology (#12) and Syngenta (#13) rank highest, and contract manufacturer Celestica (#32) and medical device maker Teleflex Kulim (#40) join the list for the first time. Both are certified in Malaysia alone in this ranking, as is Sunway.

Evelyn Kwek, Managing Director, Great Place To Work® Southeast Asia and ANZ, said:

"Moving Malaysia’s economy up the value chain takes more than investment in technology and infrastructure. It takes strong workplace cultures that turn investment in people into higher productivity, faster innovation and sustained competitive advantage."

"From medical device makers in Kedah to a homegrown group that runs townships, universities and hospitals, the companies on this list show what that commitment looks like in practice. Sunway’s debut inside the top 30 shows that a Malaysian company can set that standard as convincingly as any multinational."
